Chess coordinates, made into games
Know every square by name.
e4e5Nf3 turns the chessboard's coordinates into quick games. Name squares, find them, call their colour, spot mates and drill your openings. And every move you make, you write down the official way: e4, e5, Nf3. Never learned how? The first game teaches you.

The one rule
Moves are written, never dragged.
No dragging and no clicking. When there's a move to make, you type it the way it's written on a scoresheet, in official algebraic notation. And the board never shows its coordinates, so you learn to read it yourself.
- Nf3 brings a knight to f3; e4 is a pawn move.
- Capture and check marks are optional: Qf7 and Qxf7# both count.
- Castle with 0-0 or 0-0-0, and promote with e8Q.
- Typos shake instead of costing you the move.
White to move. Promote and mate.
Every keystroke is checked against the position, so you can only ever write a legal move.

- Square map

- Best scores
- A best score for every game, side and round length, so there's always one to beat.
